The left/right swiping dating app, Tinder, implemented paid features several years ago. However, there is still a free version of the app, but of course some of the best features the app has to offer have to be paid for.

Tinder currently is offering paid versions for Tinder Plus, Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum.

If you’re trying to decide which one you should get, and which one would be a fit for you, keep reading to find out the details for each one of these.

Tinder Plus:

When a Tinder user gets the Plus features, which is the cheapest one out of the three, they get to:

  • Rewind: if you mistakenly swiped left instead of right on someone you thought looked nice, you will be given the option to rewind, and get a second look at that user’s Tinder profile, and possibly swipe right if you truly feel attracted to them! This is not available with the free Tinder version.
  • Unlimited Likes: Tinder has a limit on how many likes you can send out in a 12-hour period. When buying Tinder Plus, you won’t be limited in how many users you can like per day, instead, you will be able to keep liking without any limitations.
  • Passport: The passport feature allows you to switch the areas you are looking for other matches in. This might be helpful to set up dates if you’re moving, going on a vacation, or simply wish to see what’s on the market in the town next to yours.
  • More Super Likes: With the free Tinder version, you get one Super Like per day. If you decide to purchase the Plus version, you will get five Super Likes per day.

Regarding how much Tinder Plus costs, the pricing varies. If you’re under 30 years old, 28 to be more specific, and live in a developing country, the monthly price will be around $3. If you’re over 28, and live in a developed country such as the US, the pricing goes up to $19.99 per month or more. Tinder owners claim that the difference in the pricings is due to the fact that developing countries have much less income than other already developed states, so they’re trying to make the platform available for everyone. The most common one is $9.99 per month, used for Americans under 28.

Tinder Gold:

Tinder Gold offers the same things Tinder Plus is offering, with some extra features. When a Tinder user gets the Gold features, which is the middle ground on how much it costs, they get:

  • Monthly Boost: When this boost is activated, your profile will be among the most viewed ones in your area for 30 minutes, making your potential matches much higher.
  • ‘Likes You’ feature: The ‘Likes You’ feature shows you all users who liked you. You can scroll through all users who have already liked you, see if you like some of them, and find a potential match.

Once you get Tinder Gold, you will need to pay an extra $4.99 per month.

Tinder Platinum:

Tinder Platinum is the most expensive version of all we mentioned already. Several new features are added here:

  • Message before matching: with Tinder Platinum, you will be able to send a message along with the Super Like. You won’t have to wait for the other user to like you too before having the option to contact them.
  • Prioritized likes: Your likes will be prioritized before all other non-Platinum users, making your profile among the top picks for all other users, and will help you reach more potential matches.

Tinder Platinum’s pricing is $39.99 per month in the US. Although the pricing is a bit higher than all we mentioned before, you get all features of Plus and Gold, plus the Premium ones, making this a fair deal.
